Film

the basics

I was gifted my first camera from my grandfather. He came to visit and took me to TOYS-R-US to pick out "anything in the store". Scrolling through endless aisles of toys I've never even dreamt of owning, there it was; a film camera.

It was pink, plastic and absolutely perfect.

“I feel it is the heart, not the eye, that should determine the content of the photograph. What the eye sees is its own. What the heart can perceive is a very different matter.”

-Gordon Parks
